Lovers Leap (5165'/1574m) summit (gigapixel)

Gigapixel view from the summit of Lovers Leap (elev. 5,165') near Callahan, California.  From here one can see China & South China Mountain to the east, Craggy Mountain, the Russian Wilderness (including Russian Peak), & the Marble Mountain Wilderness towards Boulder Peak.  The mountain was formed during the Silurian epoch (about 430 million years ago) w/ fossil crinoids & corals found in particular deposits.  Other limestone caps in the area date it among the oldest rocks in the region.  Lovers Leap is a popular location for rock climbing w/ plenty of routes on all sides & on lower formations below.
