Mafra National Palace, south transept
Portugal
Latin cross plan with arms and apse in semicircle, composed of rectangular galilee with tops, also in semicircle, single nave, with six lateral chapels, deep, intercommunicating, projecting transept served by two altarpieces, two apse chapels , rectangular, also retable, and deep chancel. It develops from west to east, entering the square courtyard that circumscribes two secondary bodies, north and south.
