Matosinhos, Senhor do Padrao
Portugal

The Senhor do Padrão also known as "Senhor do Espinheiro" or "Senhor da Areia", dating from the 18th century and marks the place where, according to legend, the image of Bom Jesus de Bouças appeared. This monument remains an important reference for the city and for the fishing community, with much of the religious devotion of the fishermen of Matosinhos and their families materializing here, such as the 1st of November when the monument is surrounded by thousands of candles burning in memory of fishermen killed at sea
