Mogadouro, Castle walls, Portugal
Portugal

With probably previous origin, the Mogadouro Castle appears documented in the 12th century, when Fernão Mendes, the Braganção, made a donation to the Templars. The keep is from this period.

Seat of commendation of the order of Christ and from the century. XIV, Paço dos Távoras, lords of Mogadouro and chief mayors.

After the Távoras process (1759), the building degrades and completely ruins itself throughout the 19th century.
