En las cumbres de la sierra de Sintra se alza este palacio fruto del exotismo del romanticismo del siglo XIX. La intensidad del sol de agosto exagera aún más sus desvaidos colores. Está declarado Patrimonio de la Humanidad por la UNESCO.
