The Bernina Pass, usually open from early June to late October, connects Valtellina with Upper Engadina. A high mountain pass in the Bernina Range of the Alps in the canton of Graubünden in eastern Switzerland, also known for route 29. The route starts in Tirano, Val Poschiavo, Valtellina in Italy, known mainly for the monumental Sanctuary dedicated to the Madonna, connecting St. Moritz in the Engadin valley.

The route between Sankt Moritz and Tirano is 58 kilometers long and can be traveled either by car or by train aboard the charming red Bernina Express train.

The Bernina Pass, with its highest point at 2,330 metres at Hozpis, offers excellent views and features traffic along the shores of several lakes, the largest of which is Lago Bianco.

The Bernina Pass can also be reached via the famous Bernina Red Train, a UNESCO heritage site that connects Tirano in Valtellina with St. Moritz over an exhilarating journey.

O Bernina Pass, geralmente aberta desde o início de junho até ao final de outubro, liga Valtellina com Alta Engadina.
