位于深圳市中心位置的莲花山公园松柏常青，花团锦簇。竖立在公园山顶广场的邓小平塑像由青铜铸造，塑像高六米，基座高三点六八米，塑像面向正南方，三面围绕的是盛开的鲜花，背景为一排高大呈塔形状的绿色常青龙柏。塑像的竖立，体现了对这位改革开放的总设计师、建立经济特区的倡导者深深缅怀之情，表达了全国人民高举邓小平理论伟大旗帜，建设有中国特色社会主义，共创美好明天的坚定信念。
