Spider Rock is in Canyon de Chelly National Monument near Chinle, Arizona on the Navajo (Dine') Indian Reservation. Even though it is designated as a National Monument, some Navajo still live and farm in the canyon. There is a flowing stream throughout the canyon. Jeep tours and hiking are available to see the canyon from within, and it is entirely worth the extra cost and time to take advantage of those options.
