Lake St. Moritz is located at 1768 m above sea level in St. Moritz, Switzerland. With a surface of 0.78 km², 1.6 km long and 600 meters wide and a circular trail of 4.8 km.
It is an enchanting basin, despite being the smallest of the main lakes in a picturesque valley, the Upper Engadine valley. Green slopes dominate the placid waters. Jogging along the lakeside path in the morning, as the fog rises from the water, it's magic!!
In winter, the lake's waters freeze, and that's where the Polo World Cup on Snow takes place, held annually at the end of January, beginning of February, with a natural setting of exceptional beauty. Since 1985, St. Moritz has become the snow polo capital of the world. It's an amazing spectacle. Teams from all over the world come here for the coveted Cartier Trophy.
The next 37th Polo World Cup on Snow St. Moritz 2022 will take place from 28-29-30 January 2022.
