Stefan cel Mare Blvd. is the most famous in Iasi. Closed to traffic for pedestrians, the cobble stoned streets lead the casual stroller from the Palace of Culture and Palas Mall at one end. To Piata Unirii at the other end which holds the Hotels Grand Traian and Unirea. On the Blvd. is the city hall and the Metropolitan Cathedral as well as many shops and stores along the way. Just off the Blvd is the National Theatre. The Blvd. is named for national hero Stefan cel Mare.
