SuperC II
Aachen

The SuperC is the service center of the RWTH Aachen, which is located directly next to the main building and combines a number of services for students under one roof.

The building was opened in July 2008. It got its name because it looks like a big C. However, the basement forms the bottom line of the C and for this it is not visible.

Originally, the building was to be heated with geothermal heat. Due to technical problems (inadequate deep drilling, too much cooling of the extracted water) this is at the moment not economically possible.
