The Museum, which is located in Taşucu Town of Silifke, Mersin, was built in the site called Dinlence Beach as the replica of the house where Atatürk was born in Thessaloniki by Taşucu Municipality. The place serves as Taşucu Atatürk’s House Museum under the supervision of Taşucu Municipality. The reason why a replica of the house in Thessaloniki was built here is that Atatürk visited the place four times, on 28 June 1925, 12 May 1926, 11 February 1931 and 20 February 1935, and indicated the resemblance of the area with Thessaloniki.
