The Author, Jane Austen lived in Bath - but she didn't much like the place. Every year, the city hosts a 'Jane Austen Festival' which attracts hundreds of fans and devotees from around the world. One of the highlights is a parade of Festival participants through the City to the Royal Crescent. Unfortunately, the parade now ends in Parade Gardens.
