This roundabout is a central traffic hub in Kota Bharu, officially known as Bulatan Tuan Padang. It is named after a historical figure (often associated with the colonial-era British advisors or local dignitaries known for utilizing the city "Padang" or field). The roundabout is beautifully landscaped and often features sculptures or structures representing Kelantanese cultural identity, such as the Rehal (Quran stand).
