Velasca Tower - Milan

Construída entre 1956 e 1958 a partir do projeto do grupo de arquitetos B.B.P.R., um dos principais expoentes do racionalismo italiano do pós-guerra, a Torre Velasca surge com seus 106m de altura sobre a paisagem do que já foi o antigo centro medieval de Milão. É um dos cartões-postais da cidade e, embora sua forma e seus detalhes tenham sido concebidos de modo a integrá-la a este contexto histórico, pois segundo os autores se assemelharia às torres do Castello Sforzesco, até hoje é considerada por muitos como um objeto totalmente alheio e agressivo à paisagem circundante.
