Aerial view from the summit of Volcán Barú (elev. 3,475m) in the Chiriqui Province near Boquete, Panamá. Located in Volcán Barú National Park, the peak is the highest point in the country & the 12th highest peak in Central America. It is one of only a few peaks in the Americas where one can see the Pacific & Atlantic (Caribbean Sea) Oceans in the same view. A large cross adorns the top, representative of the country's predominant Catholic faith. To the left of the cross is the crater area directly below w/ the last eruption occurring around 1550 A.D. On this day the clouds were forming quickly & were soon shrouding the summit after this panorama.
