Peris descends the Snowdon Mountain Railway.
Wales
The Snowdon Mountain Railway (SMR) is a narrow-gauge railway that runs from Llanberis, in North Wales, to the summit of Snowdon, the highest mountain in Wales. It's a popular attraction for tourists who want to experience the stunning views of Snowdonia National Park without the strenuous climb. The railway operates using a unique cog railway system, allowing trains to ascend steep gradients. Here Peris descend the track towards Llanberis. Named after the nearby Llyn-Peris, this steam engine was built by Hunslet Engine Company specifically designed for the challenging gradients of the Snowdon Mountain Railway.
