Monumento Iglesia San Francisco de San Fernando Chile
VI Region of Chile

This National Monument traces its origins to 1744 when Jesuit missionaries raise their mission house. In 1755 begins a new larger church. Finally, in 1891 the old building is demolished and construction began on the present.


It has three naves separated by arches that mark the nave of 8 meters. wide, and two aisles of 4 m. constituting wide circulation spaces that finish in two altars and a tower of 32 meters. high.

Was affected by the earthquake of February 27, 2010.
