Nella città vecchia di La Coruña si trova una romantica piazza ombreggiata da platani centenari: la piazza di Azcárraga che anticamente si chiamava piazza della farina perchè questo era l'alimento principale che qui si vendeva. Al centro della piazza c'è la fontana Del Desiderio realizzata in ghisa nella metà del XIX secolo.
