The largest construction site in Athens.
Athens
The Hellinikon Project: The Largest Construction Site in Athens Located on the site of the former Athens International Airport, the Hellinikon Project is the largest urban redevelopment initiative ever undertaken in Greece and one of the most ambitious in Europe. Spanning over 6,200,000 square meters along the Athenian Riviera, this massive construction site is being transformed into a modern, sustainable city-within-a-city. The development includes luxury residences, office buildings, hotels, a casino resort, cultural venues, a marina, and one of the largest coastal metropolitan parks in Europe. The centerpiece of the project is the "Metropolitan Park," a vast green space designed to offer recreational areas, sports facilities, and environmentally friendly infrastructure. Led by Lamda Development, the Hellinikon Project aims to redefine the urban landscape of Athens, boost tourism, and create tens of thousands of new jobs. It’s a symbol of Greece’s economic revival and its vision for a modern, connected, and livable future.
