Toadstools - Utah
Utah

The Toadstools (= mushroom rock) are erosion forms that are evolved by wind and water from the relatively soft sandstone, when tougher outer layers protect the underlying rock. Here the mushroom rock in the Grand Staircase - Escalante National Monument in southern Utah.
