The sense of smell is personified by a figure who pours water through his nose, holding an open box, flanked by two dogs and topped by allegory, identified by the inscription: "VIR SAPIENS. FLORETE FLORES QUASI LILLIUM ET DATE ODOREM. ECCL. 39, 19". Together, the sculptures of Ezra, which holds a chalice and bears the inscription "ESDRAS / GUSTA PANEM ET NON DERELINQUAS IN THE SISUT PASTOR / IN M; EDIO LUPORUM ESDR 4 C. 5" and that of Jonathan, with a honeycomb and a beehive, with the inscription "JONATHAS / GUSTANS GUSTAVI IN SUMITATE VIRGAE / ET ECCE MORIOR / I REG. C. 14".
