Located seven kilometers or 15 minutes from Latacunga; in a quiet area, there is a colonial architectural relic: Hacienda San Juan Bautista Obraje de Tilipulo. There, during colonial times, natives from those times used to grow and harvest flax and silk as well as they used to spin llama wool for crafting ponchos, belts and cloths. Tilipulo was kown as one of the most important sites where crafts were produced. (www.vivelatacunga.com). GAD Latacunga.
