Moored up for the night in Tanjung Puting National Park. The park is situated at the southern tip of Kalimantan. The protected area is the largest example of diverse coastal tropical heath and peat swamp. This kind of forest once covered the southern coastal areas of Kalimantan. Much of the surrounding jungle has been cut down for timber and cleared for mining, leaving very little woodland for the indigenous wildlife, such as the orangutan.
