This 360° panorama was taken from the parking area at Slagbaai, a spot where two very different landscapes meet. On one side, the Caribbean stretches out from the rugged northern coastline, shaped by wind, surf, and the limestone terrain typical of Washington Slagbaai National Park. On the other side lies Saliña Slagbaai, the large saltwater lagoon that forms one of the park’s most important wildlife habitats. From this vantage point you can just make out flamingos feeding in the distance, moving through the shallow water of the saliña. Their presence adds a quiet contrast to the open ocean behind you — a mix of coastal energy and wetland stillness in a single viewpoint. The parking area sits right between these two environments, making it one of the most distinctive transitional spots in the park.
