We took the Gornergrat rack railway from Zermatt up to the Gornergrat (3'089 meters) and hiked down to the Riffelalp (2'222 meters).

Here we are about half an hour below the Gornergrat at the upper of the two Riffelsees. It is a wonderful reflection of the Matterhorn in the small mountain lake.
