The Great Gate of the Unfinished Chapels Magnificient triumphal arch, extolling the person of King D. Manuel I, executed by Mateus Fernandes and included in the grandiose program with which the monarch had decided to finish the Chapels ordered to be done by King D.Duarte. The Balcony of the Unfinished Chapels is a unique moment of the Renaissance art in the Monastery of Batalha, realized by Miguel de Arruda in 1533, represents the last attempt of D.João III to conclude this pantheon.
