Raiņa kapi, kur apglabāts visu laiku dižākais latviešu dzejnieks (1865 - 1929) un dzejniece Aspazija (1865 - 1943). Virs Raiņa kapa paceļas monolīts sarkana granīta piemineklis (1935), kuru kaldinājis Kārlis Zemdega.

His works had a profound influence on the literary Latvian language, and the ethnic symbolism he employed in his major works has been central to Latvian nationalism.
