Clingstone

Perched on a tiny rock in Narrangansett Bay, Clingstone Mansion has been a New England architectural landmark since 1905. Abandoned in the 1930s, it was largely restored by Boston architect Henry A. Wood between 1961 and 2010, when these photos were taken.

Clingstone House, on a rock near Dumplings Harbor in Jamestown, Rhode Island, has been a lower Narragansett Bay landmark since 1904.  Behind it across the bay is Newport habor.  For more information see http://www.nytimes.com/2008/08/07/garden/07c...

There is no finer yacht-watching site.
