L'église construite vers 1763 en granit blanc (le clocher est du XIIIe siècle). La voûte de la nef est riche de dix-neuf toiles peintes par Guillaume Fouace, classées à titre d'objets aux Monuments historiques, représentant des scènes bibliques connues comme l'Annonciation, la fuite en Égypte ou la marche des rois mages. La cène est reproduite dans le chœur de l'église. Les personnages sont inspirés d'habitants de la région, dont la femme du peintre.

On July 14th, 1789 angry mobs stormed La Bastille prison and began the Revolution in which Louis XVI, his wife Marie-Antoinette and thousands of others met the guillotine.One decade after the revolution, Napolean Bonaparte seized control of the Republic and named himself Emperor.
