Shimla Station is the terminus of the historic Kalka-Shimla narrow gauge mountain railway. Located at an altitude of over 7116 feet it is the third highest station in India. Seen here in the panorama is the Shimla-Kalka Express being backed into the platform for its 18:15 depature. The train will take 5 Hours to complete its 96 Km journey, reaching Kalka at 23:15 at an average speed of 19kmph!
