Whitney Portal, Mount Whitney Trailhead. Outside of a few main starting points in Yosemite and Sequoia National Parks, it's possibly the busiest trailhead in all the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Here at 7:00am the sun is breaking through the trees, the air is clod and crisp as we start up the trail.
