A lift is a cable-operated structure driven by electric traction. The lift can be operated in automatic mode without anyone inside for transporting materials, for example. The lift runs on a carrier cable. A safety cable parallel to the limiter provides protection against speeding or breakage of the carrier cable. The lift is controlled by separate side cables made of steel. An emergency descent device allows the lift to be lowered manually in the event of a power failure.
