360 Aerial Panorama of Corrour Railway Station, West Highland Line, Rannoch Moor, Scotland.
Scotland

Another glorious sunny day in Scotland. Scotland as I'm sure you already know is often recognised as being one of the sunniest places in the world.

Corrour Railway Station was built in 1893 on the West Highland Line linking Glasgow and Fort William. It is the highest mainline railway station in Scotland, in a remote and isolated location on the northern edge of Rannoch Moor. It is not accesible by public roads.

The station is managed by ScotRail, and is served by  regular passenger trains as well as the Caledonian Sleeper service between London and Fort William.

It is located on the Corrour Estate. The Station House has been refurbished and now hosts a bar, restaurant and small shop. The old signalbox has also been refurbished with three guest bedrooms.

Loch Ossian surrounded by trees is in the distance.
