Stony Stratford is skirted by the River Great Ouse which usually floods the adjacent meadows a few times each year. This is the first flooding of 2026 which isn't as severe as it sometimes can be when water enters the town and floods a length of the High Street. The most recent severe flood was during Christmas in 2020.
