Grossglockner High Alpine Road in Snow, Austria in Summer
Salzburg
A sweeping high-altitude view at Fuscher Törl (2,428 m) along the famous Grossglockner High Alpine Road (Großglockner Hochalpenstraße) in the Austrian Alps. Freshly fallen snow blankets the pass, framing the iconic stone monument designed by architect Clemens Holzmeister in memory of the road builders who lost their lives during construction (1930–1935). On the right stands the historic Dr. Franz Rehrl Haus (Restaurant Fuscher Törl), flanked by traditional stone markers and flagpoles. Located within the Hohe Tauern National Park, this famous mountain pass offers dramatic panoramas across the snow-capped Central Eastern Alps.
