Park Güell was a project to build an urbanization with 60 plots for well-to-do families but it ended up being a public park because the initiative was unfeasible. Built between 1900 and 1914 and the City Council bought it in 1922 and it was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1984. Walking through the large esplanade that is surrounded by a unique wavy bench covered in mosaic that acts as a railing and is supported by the 86 columns of the Hypostyle Hall below.
