The San Rafael reservoir is a dam located in the city of Bogotá, Colombia. It is located in the Suba locality, north of the city, and is an important source of water supply for the Colombian capital. The San Rafael reservoir has a storage capacity of 3.2 million cubic meters of water and a maximum depth of 40 meters. Its construction began in 1968 and was inaugurated in 1974. In addition to its function as a source of water supply, the San Rafael reservoir is also used for water sports and sport fishing. The area surrounding the reservoir is a popular place for hiking, cycling, and picnics.
