Labuan Marine Museum
While the museum is full of live fish and coral, its most famous resident has been dead for over a century. The museum is the final resting place of a massive 42-foot skeleton of an Indian Fin Whale. Interestingly, this whale didn't wash up in Labuan; it was originally found in Malacca in 1892. It was moved to the National Museum in KL and eventually gifted to Labuan in 2003 when this museum opened, serving as the spectacular centerpiece to remind visitors of the giants that roam our oceans. The museum also preserves artifacts from the four famous shipwrecks that lie in Labuan's waters, linking the island's naval history with its natural one.
