Constitution Friends Square (Platz der Verfassungsfreunde)
Baden-Wuerttemberg

In Offenburg, on September 12, 1847, the "Friends of the Constitution" adopted the "13 Demands of the People of Baden," the first comprehensive catalogue of fundamental rights in German history, at the "Salmen" inn.

This led to the very first National Assembly in Germany and was the foundation of the present German Constitution.

The large sculpture by the artist Jonathan Borofsky is named "Freedom-Male/Female", which also fits nicely.
