View from inside a spatter cone vent in the Medicine Lake Volcano area of Northern California.  It is one of three spatter vents along a fissure w/ lots of unstable breakdown & ceilings comprised of lightweight cinder froth.  This time of year seasonal ice forms impressive stalactites & columns.  The outside reveals a large steep crater that opens up into this pit.
