Wikipedia: Flora und Botanischer Garten feiern 2014 ihr hundertjähriges Jubiläum. Bis dahin stehen umfangreiche Sanierungsmaßnahmen an. Die Schaugewächshäuser sind mittlerweile so stark gealtert, dass sie nicht zu sanieren sind. Für einen Neubau werden circa drei Millionen € benötigt, die durch Spenden und Sponsoren aufgebracht werden sollen.
