「雄鎮北門」為三級古蹟，創建於明鄭時期，清同治13年，日軍入侵琅喬(恆春)，清廷派沈葆禎來台，除對抗日軍，也派人修築旗後與雄鎮北門兩座砲台，現今大砲已不存在，只剩砲座，是打狗地區僅存的明鄭時期城門。
