南雅是由入東北角海岸的一個賞遊點，以奇岩景觀著稱，除了觸目可見的海蝕礁岸外，最令人稱奇的便是千狀萬態，鬼斧神工的風化紋石錯落其間，彷彿一座戶外大型雕塑博物館。南雅風化紋地形為臺灣所罕見，其成因為砂岩中的節理經風化作用造成含鐵礦物氧化，於是顯露出氧化鐵的帶狀花紋，饒富造形之美。
