The Sun Ra Arkestra, a jazz institution since the 1960s, finally has a public monument in Germantown, the Phildelphia neighborhood where they have lived and worked for all that time.  This new mural is about a mile from their base on Morton Street, at the ancestral home of Marshall Allen, who is still, at 102, their spiritual leader.
