"Sotto Tina" archway, Porto Maurizio, Italy
Ligurien, Italien

Straight from XVI century, this well conserved archway was just behind the oldest walls of the town, built during Middle Age. It still contains three old shops from that time, each one with the stone slab where the goods were offered for sale. The whole archway seems to be supported only by the tall stone column, and on its upper side the iron hinges of the original "Porta Martina" gate can still be seen. Three badges of noble local families are visible on the walls.
