Heading for the Ben Franklin Bridge
Philadelphia

To Celebarate the 100th anniversay of the Benjamin Franklin Bridge, its roadway was opened to pedestrians for the first time since 1926.  Here, a crowd of Philadelphians starts the 1.5 mile trek to Camden.  Behind us is Isamu Noguchi's sculpture "Bolt of Lightning... A Memorial to Benjamin Franklin" that stands between 5th and 6th Streets in Franklin Square Park.
