We made a short stopover and it's all worth it ... All I knew  about this town was the fact that it was a movie set used in the old Charlton Heston film "El Cid" and I was really looking forward to see it ... The castle fort stands prominent in the background ever watchful from any threats !

Definitely, Peniscola is more than just  a movie set - a very picturesque mediterranean town that I wouldn't mind coming back if opportunity comes my way again :)
